Great Progress!

Great progress at our last workday. Pat brought three finished quilt tops! Thank you ladies for your work! We also managed to almost complete two more tops. And last Saturday I ran into the mother that had given me flags for the backs of the quilts. She has more from when Fox Company went to Iraq in 2004 - 2005. The flag represents those of you who waited for our soldiers. Grace put one out in her yard everyday the whole time our boys were gone.

Quilt Days at the Legion Post

July Workshop - Third Wednesday

Due to being volunteered for Boy Scout Camp at the end of July, we will be doing our workshop on the third Wednesday - July 21, from 6:30 - 8:30.

June Workshop Date

I know summer is upon us and it's hard to think of quilting. We met the third Wednesday in June at the Legion Hall. I have some quilt kits put together for those that can't make it and we've started our newest batch of quilts. Thank you to those who showed up and continue to show your dedication to the project.

Thank you everyone for all you help. In April we gave out 20 quilts. Here are some of the pictures. It was a very emotional event and the quilts went to families that needed them. Some of the quilts went to new families that had never been to one of the Gold Star Family gatherings before. Some went to people who had lost loved ones in the beginning of the war and needed to know they are not forgotten and that we love care about them. It was an awesome event.

April Workshop Dates

Starting in April we will meet the 4th Wednesday frm 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm through the summer. We will still be meeting at Legion in the Mutual Mall building. Hope to see you all there.

Bring your sewing machine and quilting supplies, red, white, and blue (Americana ok) material, or embroidery floss for tying the quilts. We will be making blocks and quilts for Wisconsin families of the fallen.

Come anytime. Stay a while or stay all day!
